Agartala, January 29: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Airtel Data Centre at Chanmari in Agartala, describing the project as a major step forward in the state’s digital transformation journey and a significant milestone in strengthening information technology infrastructure in the Northeast.

The upcoming data centre is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing digital connectivity, improving data management capabilities and supporting the growing demand for digital services across the region. Addressing the gathering at the foundation stone-laying ceremony, Dr. Saha said the establishment of the facility reflects the increasing confidence of major corporate players in Tripura’s development potential.
