Imphal, Jan 13: Manipur Police on Tuesday arrested three active cadres of KYKL (SOREPA) from different locations in Imphal West district, officials said.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Keithelakpam Telheiba Mangang alias Thoiba alias Lamyanba (23) of Kwakeithel Heinou Khongnembi, Imphal West district, who was apprehended from Kangabam Leikai; Konthoujam Gooddy Meitei alias Phirepa (23) of Bishnupur Ward No. 10, Joypur Khunou in Bishnupur district, arrested from Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai; and Laishram Ichan Devi alias Sangita (30) of Wabagai Terapishak, Kakching district, presently residing at Kwakeithel Akham Leikai, who was arrested from Kwakeithel Bazar.
Police said that during the operation, security forces seized three mobile phones, four SIM cards, a sum of Rs 6,000 in cash, and one Yamaha motorcycle from their possession.
According to officials, the arrested cadres were actively involved in recruiting new members, carrying out extortion activities in the valley districts, and providing logistical support to their organisation.
Further investigation is underway to trace their network and identify other associates linked to the outfit, police added.
