Seva Aapke Dwar Brings Government Services to Doorsteps in Arunachal’s Etalin

Etalin, January 30: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday interacted with residents of Etalin during the implementation of the Seva Aapke Dwar initiative, a flagship outreach programme aimed at delivering essential government services directly to citizens in remote and border areas of the state.

The programme witnessed the participation of multiple government departments, which provided a range of public services and assistance at a single location, making it easier for residents to access government schemes and benefits without having to travel long distances. The initiative is part of the state government’s broader effort to strengthen last-mile governance and ensure that development reaches even the most remote communities.

Expressing satisfaction over the programme, the Chief Minister said Seva Aapke Dwar represents a people-centric model of governance where public services are brought directly to the doorstep of citizens. He noted that such initiatives are especially important for areas like Etalin, where difficult terrain and limited connectivity often make access to government offices challenging.

“People should not have to run from one office to another to avail government services. It is the responsibility of the government to reach out to the people, particularly those living in remote regions,” Khandu said while interacting with beneficiaries and local residents.

During the visit, the Chief Minister personally engaged with members of the community, listened to their concerns, and reviewed the services being delivered by various departments. He observed that direct interaction with citizens provides valuable insights into local issues and helps the government understand the challenges faced by people at the grassroots level.

Khandu described the experience as deeply fulfilling and reiterated the importance of maintaining regular contact with citizens to ensure effective governance and responsive administration. He also encouraged residents to take advantage of government schemes and actively participate in development initiatives.

Reaffirming the state government’s commitment to inclusive development, Khandu stated that initiatives like Seva Aapke Dwar will continue to be expanded to ensure that essential services and welfare benefits reach every corner of Arunachal Pradesh, regardless of geographical challenges.

The programme was widely appreciated by local residents, who welcomed the opportunity to access government services within their own community.
