Power Supply Reaches 717 Villages in Mizoram, 13 Yet to Be Electrified

Aizawl, January 25, 2026: As per the latest Handbook released by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, electricity connectivity has been extended to 717 out of 730 inhabited villages in Mizoram, marking significant progress in rural electrification across the state.

Officials from the Power & Electricity Department stated that power supply has already been provided to the vast majority of villages, while only 13 villages are yet to be electrified.
