Agartala, January 23: The birth anniversary of Subhas Chandra Bose, the legendary patriot and freedom fighter revered for his courage, sacrifice and unwavering nationalism, was observed with solemnity and enthusiasm in Agartala on Tuesday.
Paying homage to Netaji, dignitaries and citizens participated in a commemorative programme held at Netaji Subhas Vidyanniketan, where speakers recalled his enduring legacy and inspirational role in India’s freedom struggle. Floral tributes were offered as a mark of respect to the leader who continues to inspire millions across generations.

Later, a vibrant procession was organised through the streets of Agartala, drawing participation from students, teachers, social organisations and members of the public. The procession reflected collective pride and reverence for Netaji’s ideals of unity, self-reliance and national service.
Participants said the observance served as a reminder of the values Netaji stood for and called upon the younger generation to imbibe his spirit of courage and dedication to the nation.
