Officials said the regional competition serves as a platform to assess technical skills and craftsmanship among youth from Northeastern states. Mizoram’s performance, they noted, underscores the high calibre of skills among the state’s youth—not only within the region but at the national level as well.
The Mizoram contingent was selected through the Mizoram Skills Competition organised by the Labour, Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Department, Mizoram (LESDE) from December 8 to 12, 2025. Winners of Gold and Silver medals at the regional level will represent the Northeast at the IndiaSkills National Competition, with top performers potentially qualifying to represent India at the WorldSkills and Asian Skills competitions.
