Manipur Governor Extends Statehood Day Greetings, Calls for Peace and Inclusive Growth

Imphal, January 20: Governor of Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the State on the occasion of Manipur Statehood Day, commemorating Manipur’s emergence as a full-fledged State of the Indian Union.

In his message, the Governor recalled the historic significance of January 21, 1972, describing it as a proud milestone in Manipur’s collective journey of democratic governance, cultural identity and progress. He highlighted the State’s rich heritage, vibrant traditions and the resilience of its people, whose contributions in art, sports, culture and public service have brought laurels to the nation.

He concluded his message by wishing the people a happy and meaningful Statehood Day, expressing hope for continued progress and cohesion across Manipur.
