Itanagar, January 20: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday met the newly appointed Director General Border Roads (DGBR), Harpal Singh, and congratulated him on assuming the crucial responsibility.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted the long-standing partnership between Indian Army, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in advancing development and strategic connectivity in the frontier State.
Pema Khandu complimented the BRO for its remarkable contribution in strengthening road and bridge infrastructure across Arunachal Pradesh, particularly in remote and border areas. He said improved connectivity has played a vital role in boosting socio-economic development, enhancing access to essential services, and strengthening national security along the international borders.

Expressing optimism about future collaboration, the Chief Minister said he looked forward to continued cooperation with the BRO under Lt Gen Harpal Singh’s leadership and the launch of more development initiatives in the days ahead.
The interaction reaffirmed the State government’s commitment to working closely with defence and infrastructure agencies to accelerate development and improve connectivity across Arunachal Pradesh’s challenging terrain.
