Imphal, Jan 26: The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with patriotic fervour in Manipur as the Hon’ble Governor took the salute at the ceremonial parade held at the historic Kangla in Imphal, reaffirming the nation’s commitment to unity, sovereignty and constitutional values.

The parade featured marching contingents from the State Armed Forces, Assam Rifles, Central Armed Police Forces, ex-servicemen, the National Cadet Corps (NCC), Sainik School, and students from various schools and colleges. Their disciplined march symbolised service to the nation and the spirit of collective nation-building.
Adding colour and energy to the celebrations were martial arts demonstrations showcasing discipline and strength, along with vibrant tableaux presented by various government departments highlighting development initiatives and social themes. Cultural performances reflecting Manipur’s rich heritage, diversity and unity further enriched the programme.
