Falkawn, Jan 16, 2025: In a significant boost to healthcare infrastructure in Mizoram, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has extended Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support amounting to ₹62.38 lakh to Zoram Medical College & Hospital (ZMC&H), Falkawn.
An MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed on Thursday between the Director of Zoram Medical College & Hospital and Malati Makar, Senior Manager (HR–CSR), IndianOil AOD State Office. The agreement formalises IOCL’s CSR assistance for the procurement of critical medical equipment aimed at strengthening emergency and clinical care services at the hospital.
As per the MoU, the CSR grant will be utilised for the purchase of an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance, a Diathermy Machine, and C-Arm equipment. These facilities are expected to significantly enhance the hospital’s emergency response capacity, diagnostic precision, and treatment capabilities, thereby improving overall patient care.
The Director of ZMC&H expressed sincere appreciation to IOCL for its continued support towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the region. He stated that the CSR assistance would greatly benefit patients and contribute to improved quality and accessibility of medical services.
Mrs. Malati Makar, on the occasion, reaffirmed IndianOil’s commitment to community welfare through its CSR initiatives. She emphasised that healthcare and public well-being remain key focus areas of IndianOil’s social responsibility efforts.
The initiative reflects a collaborative approach between the public sector and healthcare institutions to enhance medical infrastructure and ensure better health outcomes for the people of the region.
