Haflong, Jan 16, 2026: In a moment of pride for the people of Dima Hasao district, Kimnei Changsan has recently been conferred the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Daughter of Late Seimang Changsan of Haflong, Pi Kimnei Changsan has been serving as Secretary, Home & Political Department, Government of Assam, Guwahati. She belongs to the Assam Civil Service cadre, joined service on July 1, 1995, and hails from Dima Hasao district.
To honour her achievement, the Kuki Inpi Assam (KIA), the apex body of the Kuki community of Assam, along with the Kuki Women’s Association (KWA), congratulated and felicitated her on January 13, 2026, at her residence in Haflong. She was accorded the highest traditional Kuki felicitation with the presentation of the traditional shawl Saipikhup and Khamtang Pon.
The Kuki Inpi Assam delegation was led by its President Henkam Haolai, along with Vice President Dampu Thangew and General Secretary Lalkam Hengna. The Kuki Women’s Association was represented by its President Lamlhing Doungel and Adviser Dr. Marina Lhingboi Changsan.
On behalf of the Kuki community of Assam, Kuki Inpi Assam conveyed its heartfelt congratulations and wished Pi Kimnei Changsan a successful, impactful, and rewarding career in the Indian Administrative Service.
