Imphal, January 21, 2026: Regular bus services from Inter-State Bus Terminus, Imphal (ISBT), which had earlier become dysfunctional, will resume from January 22, the Transport Department, Government of Manipur announced on Tuesday.'

According to the department, the recommissioned services will operate from Khuman Lampak, connecting Imphal to 12 routes across the state. The routes to be served include Noney, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Kanjong, Wabagai, Sugnu, Yaingangpokpi, Chandel, Leisangthem, Moirang, Kakching, and Yairipok.

Passengers have been advised to board buses only from ISBT, Khuman Lampak, and to ensure that tickets are booked exclusively through authorised channels. Ticketing will be available via Electronic Ticketing Machines (ETM) carried by conductors, online booking through the official Manipur State Transport portal, and the Starbus Manipur mobile application.
Officials said the resumption of services is expected to ease commuter movement and restore regular connectivity from Imphal, while the mandatory use of ETMs and official platforms aims to ensure transparency and convenience for passengers.
