Guwahati, January 31: On the sacred occasion of Me-Dam-Me-Phi, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ceremonially unveiled a grand statue of Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha at Notboma in Guwahati.

Recalling the visionary legacy of the founder of the Ahom dynasty, the Chief Minister said that Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha united diverse communities into a harmonious bond, laying the foundation of a strong and inclusive Bor Asom. He described the Ahom ruler as a leader who established one of the greatest kingdoms of Bharatvarsha, guided by consensus and deeply rooted in the protection of heritage and identity.

Marking the traditional ancestral remembrance ceremony, the Chief Minister also offered prayers for peace, prosperity and the overall well-being of the people of Assam.
Sharing his thoughts, Sarma said the dedication of the statue in the heart of Guwahati was a tribute to the enduring legacy of Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha and his timeless contributions to unity, governance and cultural preservation.
