CEM Debolal Gorlosa Inaugurates classroom at Maibang Degree College and Infrastructure Projects

Maibang, Jan 16: Debolal Gorlosa, Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC), today inaugurated an additional classroom at Maibang Degree College along with the newly constructed approach road and Baikho (community hall) at Sainjapur village, marking a significant push towards strengthening education and rural infrastructure in the region.

The inauguration programme was attended by the Chairman of DHAC Mohet Hojai, Executive Member Biswajit Daulagupu, and Members of the Autonomous Council Monjoy Langthasa, Rupali Langthasa, Ratan Jarambusa, Pronath Rajiyung, and Ajoy Chakraborty.

Also present were leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party from the Maibang Mandal, including Mandal President Pronin Jidung and Mahila Mandal President Sanjita Longmailai, along with Gaon Burahs (GBs) and local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEM emphasized the importance of strengthening educational infrastructure to provide better learning opportunities for students in hill areas. He stated that the additional classroom at Maibang Degree College would help address space constraints and improve the academic environment. He further noted that the newly constructed approach road and Baikho at Sainjapur village would enhance connectivity and provide a vital community space for social and cultural activities.

The projects were welcomed by local residents, who expressed appreciation for the continued focus on balanced development in Maibang, covering both higher education and essential village infrastructure.
