Agartala, Dec 15: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha inaugurated the two-day ‘Khelo Tripura Para Games–2025’ at the Dasharath Dev State Sports Complex in Agartala, marking a significant push toward inclusive sports development in the state.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Chief Minister praised the remarkable talent, determination, and spirit of differently-abled athletes participating in the event. He said the para games not only highlight sporting excellence but also inspire “confidence, resilience, and a spirit of inclusivity in our society.”
Dr. Saha extended heartfelt congratulations to the athletes and expressed best wishes for the successful conduct of the sporting event, calling it a “wonderful initiative that empowers and motivates every athlete to reach new heights.”
The two-day event brings together para-athletes from across Tripura, providing a vital platform to compete, showcase ability, and gain recognition in diverse sporting disciplines. Officials noted that the government remains committed to strengthening sports infrastructure and expanding opportunities for differently-abled athletes.
The inauguration concluded with cultural performances and an athlete march-past, setting an enthusiastic tone for the competitions ahead.
