The new project will include the construction of 24 additional rooms along with a dedicated meeting hall, significantly enhancing the capacity and functionality of the existing Meghalaya House complex.

Speaking about the initiative, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to provide high-quality services and amenities for citizens travelling to the national capital for medical, educational, official and personal purposes. He stated that officials have been instructed to maintain the highest standards of service to ensure visitors receive comfortable, efficient and well-managed accommodation.

The expansion project is expected to ease the growing demand for state-run lodging facilities in Delhi and improve the overall experience of Meghalaya residents visiting the city.
