Imphal, Dec 10: The Governor of Manipur marked Armed Forces Flag Day 2025 by meeting retired Army officers and Armed Forces personnel at the Conference Hall of Lok Bhavan, Imphal.
In a solemn ceremony, Lieutenant General K. Himalay (Retd.) pinned the Armed Forces Flag on the Governor, symbolising honour, respect, and deep gratitude to India’s soldiers for their service and sacrifice.
During the interaction, the Governor and ex-servicemen observed a moment of tribute to the brave personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in defence of the nation. The gathering reflected on their legacy and the duty to uphold their values of courage and patriotism.
Officials of the Rajya Sainik Board, Manipur briefed the Governor on ongoing welfare initiatives for ex-servicemen and their families, including support programmes, benefits, and measures to improve their well-being.
The Governor acknowledged the invaluable contribution of the Armed Forces and reiterated the state’s commitment to ensuring that veterans and their families receive the honour and care they deserve.
