Assam CM Meets Union Finance Minister in Delhi, Discusses Development and Welfare Priorities

New Delhi, Dec 15: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the national capital today to discuss a range of financial and developmental issues concerning the state.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted key priorities related to Assam’s economic growth, infrastructure expansion, and welfare programmes aimed at improving the lives of citizens. He expressed gratitude to the Finance Minister for her continued assistance and support toward the state’s development roadmap.

Dr. Sarma stated that the Government of Assam remains committed to accelerating progress across sectors through close coordination with the Union Government. He noted that the Finance Minister’s guidance and cooperation have played an important role in the state’s ongoing transformation.

The Chief Minister’s Office also confirmed that the discussion focused on critical development needs and the welfare of Assam’s people, underscoring the Centre’s ongoing partnership with the state.
