Imphal, Nov 6: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar conducted a comprehensive review of the Churachandpur District Administration through a video conference held at Hotel Classic Grande, Imphal, on Tuesday.
The review covered a wide range of areas including the welfare of internally displaced persons (IDPs), implementation of central and state-sponsored schemes, and progress across key sectors such as health, education, power, agriculture, transport, handloom, and handicrafts.
Deputy Commissioner Shri Dharun Kumar S. presented a detailed briefing on the district’s performance, noting improved educational outcomes, reduced school dropout rates, and ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and rehabilitation measures for IDPs.
The Minister lauded the administration’s initiatives and urged greater emphasis on agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry to strengthen rural livelihoods, promote self-reliance, and ensure sustainable development in Churachandpur district.
