Tawang, November 8, 2025: Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the newly constructed Administrative and Academic Block of Dorjee Khandu Government College in Tawang today, marking a significant milestone in the district’s educational development.
The new infrastructure, named in honor of the late Dorjee Khandu, former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, is expected to strengthen higher education facilities in the region and provide a better academic environment for students from remote mountain communities.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Chief Minister Khandu said the new block represents “another firm step towards nurturing the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and change-makers from the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh.”
The Chief Minister was joined by Hon’ble MLAs Shri Phurpa Tsering, Shri Mutchu Mithi, Smt. Tsering Lhamu, and Shri Namgey Tsering, among other dignitaries and officials.
The inauguration reflects the state government’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to quality education and empowering youth in Arunachal Pradesh’s far-flung areas.
