Agartala, November 8, 2025: Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha attended two major medical conferences in Agartala today, underscoring Tripura’s commitment to advancing medical education, research, and healthcare services.

He graced the Silver Jubilee Conference of the Association of Physicians of India (TAPICON), Tripura State Branch, held at the Vivekananda Auditorium of Tripura Medical College, Hapania. The event marked 25 years of academic excellence and medical innovation in the state.

In his remarks, Dr. Saha lauded the contributions of physicians and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and research in improving patient care. “It is truly inspiring to be part of this landmark occasion celebrating 25 years of dedication to advancing healthcare in Tripura,” he said.

Later in the day, the Chief Minister also attended the 19th Annual State Conference of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI), Tripura State Chapter, at KLS Auditorium, AGMC & GBP Hospital. The conference brought together surgeons from across the state to share knowledge and discuss the latest developments in surgical practices.

Dr. Saha, who himself is a medical professional, reaffirmed the government’s resolve to strengthen Tripura’s medical infrastructure and foster excellence in healthcare delivery.
