Kangpokpi, Oct. 1, 2025: In a bid to promote the spirit of human-animal coexistence, the Kangpokpi Forest Division on Wednesday organised a Foot Rally and Awareness Programme in collaboration with local students and youth.
The rally, which saw enthusiastic participation from students of Gopibung U.J.B. School and youths of Gopibung Village, commenced at the SDO Champhai Office and culminated at Gopibung Village.
Following the rally, an awareness session was held at Gopibung U.J.B. School, where participants collectively pledged to protect wildlife and conserve their natural environment.
Speaking at the programme, Divisional Forest Officer of Kangpokpi, Shri Amandeep, IFS, underlined the crucial role of local communities in safeguarding forests and wildlife habitats. He urged the participants to act as custodians of biodiversity and spread awareness in their villages.
The event concluded with a call to action: for all sections of society to join hands in preserving the region’s rich biodiversity, ensuring a more sustainable and harmonious future.
