Itanagar, September 5, 2025: In an inspiring story of resilience and reform, Government Secondary School Pachin in Papum Pare has gone from a struggling institution to a model of academic excellence under the leadership of its headmistress, Ms. Nang Ekthani Mounglang.
Just two years ago, the school recorded a mere 27% pass rate. Determined to turn things around, Ms. Mounglang introduced ICT-enabled classrooms, encouraged co-curricular activities, and built strong collaborations with parents and the local community. Her efforts paid off - the pass percentage surged to 81% in 2024, and this year the school made history by achieving a 100% pass result, the first government school in the capital to do so.
