Shillong, Sept. 16: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on Tuesday inaugurated the newly built State Guest House at Taraghar, Shillong.
The facility, overlooking the scenic Wards Lake, is designed to host state dignitaries and visitors with the warm hospitality Meghalaya is known for. Sangma said the Guest House would not only provide world-class amenities but also serve as a symbol of the state’s cultural warmth.
Taking to social media after the inauguration, the Chief Minister wrote, “Proud to inaugurate the State Guest House at Taraghar, Shillong… it will welcome state guests with the warm and gracious hospitality Meghalaya is known for.”
He also highlighted ongoing investments to further enhance the surrounding area, making it more picturesque and inviting for visitors.

Officials said the project was completed with a focus on blending modern architecture with the natural beauty of Shillong, ensuring both comfort and aesthetics.
