Shillong, Aug 6, 2025: The National People’s Party (NPP) has welcomed Ronnie V. Lyngdoh, Hon’ble MLA from Mylliem Constituency, into its ranks, marking a major political shift in Meghalaya.
With Lyngdoh’s induction, the Congress party now has no representation in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. NPP leaders hailed the move as a boost to their mission of delivering development and governance across the state.
Chief Minister and NPP President Conrad K. Sangma described Lyngdoh as a “seasoned public servant with vast experience” whose presence would further strengthen the party’s commitment to serve the people of Meghalaya “with passion and dedication.”
Lyngdoh, a respected figure in state politics, brings years of legislative and grassroots experience, and is expected to play a key role in shaping NPP’s strategies and outreach in the Khasi Hills region.
