Golaghat, August 12, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Assam’s Golaghat district on September 8, where he will inaugurate the Bio-Treatment Plant at Numaligarh Refinery and address a public gathering.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired a high-level review meeting at the Assam Police Convention Centre in Dergaon with ministers, MLAs, and senior officials to ensure seamless arrangements for the visit.

The CM stressed on meticulous coordination among all stakeholders, stating that the state is “leaving no stone unturned” to make the Prime Minister’s visit historic and hugely successful.
The visit is expected to draw a large turnout, with the NRL Bio-Treatment Plant marking a significant step towards sustainable industrial practices in the region.
