Congratulating the band on its international breakthrough, Metha described the invitation as a testament to the group's talent, dedication, and growing popularity among music enthusiasts. He noted that Pink Eye has steadily built a strong fan base through its energetic performances and unique musical style, earning recognition beyond the state and the region.
“This invitation to perform at such a prestigious international event is a reflection of the hard work and commitment of the band members,” Metha said, while extending his best wishes as they prepare to represent Nagaland on a global stage.
The opportunity has materialised through a collaboration between the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland, and RSL Awards, London, with support from the Government of Nagaland. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to promote Naga artists internationally and create pathways for young talents to showcase their abilities on global platforms.
Metha expressed gratitude to the organisers of the Fuse Arts Festival and RSL Awards for recognising and supporting emerging talent from Nagaland. He also commended TaFMA and its leadership, particularly Theja Meru, for their continued efforts in nurturing local artists and creating opportunities for them at national and international levels.
The Advisor noted that the achievement reflects the positive outcomes of Nagaland’s growing international collaborations, including partnerships with institutions in the United Kingdom and initiatives supported by the British Council. Such engagements, he said, are helping young artists gain exposure, develop professional networks, and access new opportunities.
Pink Eye’s participation in the festival is expected to further elevate the profile of Nagaland’s music industry and showcase the rich creative talent emerging from the Northeast. As the band prepares for its performance in London, music lovers across the state have joined in wishing them success and encouraging them to make Nagaland proud on the international stage.
