Itanagar, June 16: The Arunachal Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, held a comprehensive meeting on Tuesday to deliberate on a wide range of policy matters and development initiatives aimed at strengthening governance, accelerating infrastructure growth, and improving the quality of life of citizens across the state.

Describing the meeting as productive, Chief Minister Khandu reiterated that every decision taken by the government is guided by a single principle - what is best for the people of Arunachal Pradesh. The Cabinet reviewed several proposals and policy measures spanning key sectors such as civil aviation, education, industries, urban development, horticulture, land management, rural connectivity, administrative reforms, and public service delivery.

According to the Chief Minister, the discussions focused on creating a more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric governance system while ensuring that development reaches all sections of society. Cabinet members examined strategies to strengthen institutional frameworks, streamline administrative procedures, and enhance the effectiveness of government services.

Infrastructure development featured prominently in the deliberations, with particular emphasis on improving rural road connectivity and expanding transportation networks. The Cabinet also reviewed initiatives related to civil aviation, which is considered crucial for improving accessibility and economic integration in the geographically diverse state.

In the education sector, discussions centered on measures to strengthen academic institutions, improve learning outcomes, and create better opportunities for students. Industrial growth and employment generation were also key priorities, with the Cabinet examining proposals designed to encourage investment, promote entrepreneurship, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the youth.

The meeting further addressed issues related to urban affairs, horticulture development, and land management, sectors that play a significant role in the state’s long-term economic and social progress. Cabinet members also reviewed proposals aimed at modernizing governance systems through administrative reforms and the simplification of regulations.

A major focus of the discussions was improving recruitment frameworks and public service delivery mechanisms. The government aims to make administrative processes more transparent, accountable, and responsive to public needs while ensuring greater efficiency in the functioning of departments and agencies.

Chief Minister Khandu emphasized that the state government's vision remains centered on inclusive growth, transparent governance, and sustainable development. “Our collective commitment remains focused on ensuring inclusive growth, transparent governance, sustainable development, and improving the quality of life for every citizen of Arunachal Pradesh,” the Chief Minister said.

The Cabinet meeting reflects the government’s continued efforts to strengthen governance and implement development-oriented policies that address both immediate needs and long-term aspirations of the people. Officials expressed confidence that the initiatives discussed will contribute significantly to economic growth, infrastructure expansion, administrative efficiency, and overall social development across Arunachal Pradesh.
