Wokha, May 20: Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton on Tuesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party’s training initiatives reflect the organisation’s commitment towards strengthening the party structure, deepening ideological understanding and preparing dedicated karyakartas to serve society more effectively.

Patton made the remarks while attending the District Level Training Programme under the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Mahabhiyan 2026 organised by Bharatiya Janata Party at Riphyim Village in Wokha district.
Addressing the inaugural session, the Deputy Chief Minister said such programmes are important for equipping party workers with greater clarity, responsibility and commitment towards public service.
He stated that the initiative aims to strengthen the organisational foundation of the BJP while also promoting ideological awareness and discipline among party karyakartas.
“The initiative reflects our commitment towards strengthening the organisation, deepening ideological understanding and preparing dedicated karyakartas to serve society better,” Patton said.
The Deputy Chief Minister also highlighted the developmental progress witnessed across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party remains committed to nation-building, good governance, inclusive development and service to the people.
Patton further stated that training programmes such as the Prashikshan Mahabhiyan play a key role in preparing party workers to engage more effectively with the public and contribute meaningfully towards governance and social development.

The programme was attended by Nagaland Minister P Bashangchang, Advisors Kropol Vitsu and K Konngam Konyak, BJP Nagaland President Benjamin Yepthomi, State Secretary P M Ghosh, BJP town councillors from Wokha and party karyakartas from different districts.
Patton expressed hope that the training programme would lead to meaningful discussions and further strengthen the BJP’s grassroots organisational network in Nagaland.
