During the meeting, the Board agreed to open the Chief Minister’s Charitable Trust for use by government departments, societies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and individuals as a channel for receiving CSR assistance from companies and organisations.
The meeting reviewed the Trust’s financial status for the previous year and also made several key appointments for the Financial Year 2025–26.
According to the decisions taken during the meeting, Smt R. Lalrodingi was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Board, while Shri Raymond Lalmuanate was appointed as Secretary of the Trust. The Board also appointed the Trust Auditor and Pro Bono Advisor for the current financial year.
The Board stressed the importance of securing registration under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), which would enable the Trust to legally receive donations and financial assistance from foreign sources. Members resolved to actively pursue the registration process in the coming months.
The meeting further decided that the Trust would collaborate wherever possible with the Mizoram Corporate Social Responsibility Cell (CSR Cell) to improve coordination and implementation of welfare and development projects in the state.
