According to a public notice issued on May 7, the CUET-UG 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from May 11 to May 31 across India and in 15 cities outside the country.

The NTA advised candidates to follow specific guidelines at examination centres to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. Candidates have been permitted to carry transparent water bottles to the exam hall.

The agency stated that candidates may wear articles or objects of faith, including religious threads such as kalava, provided they report to the examination centre well in advance to facilitate frisking procedures.

The advisory further stated that white light clothing is preferred for candidates. Woollen clothing will also be allowed if necessary, subject to early reporting at the centre for security checks.

Regarding footwear, the NTA said normal shoes, slippers, and low heels are the preferred options for candidates appearing in the examination.

Candidates seeking clarification or assistance regarding CUET-UG 2026 have been asked to contact the NTA Help Desk through the official helpline number or email support.

The NTA urged all candidates to strictly adhere to the advisory and cooperate with examination staff for the smooth and orderly conduct of the nationwide entrance examination.
