Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio, Dy CM Yanthungo Patton Express Confidence in BJP’s Governance in Bengal

Kolkata, May 9: Neiphiu Rio on Friday expressed confidence that West Bengal would witness development and positive change under the new BJP-led government headed by Suvendu Adhikari.

Speaking on the swearing-in ceremony of the new government in West Bengal, Rio said, “You will see change in the state, West Bengal will also develop.”

The Nagaland Chief Minister also extended his congratulations and best wishes to Suvendu Adhikari on assuming office as Chief Minister.

Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton described the occasion as a “historic moment” reflecting the aspirations of the people for development, good governance and a new direction for the state.

In a statement, Patton said the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has continued to work for inclusive growth, accountability and public welfare across the country.

He expressed confidence that Suvendu Adhikari would carry forward the party’s commitment to development and people-centric governance in West Bengal.

Patton further stated that West Bengal, with its rich cultural and intellectual heritage, was ready for a new phase of progress, investment, employment generation and infrastructure growth.

He also said it was an honour to attend the swearing-in ceremony alongside Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister T. R. Zeliang.

The remarks came after the BJP formed the government in West Bengal following the recent Assembly elections.
