The 10-month development programme has been launched by the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) to support female coaches and strengthen leadership in racquet sports such as tennis and pickleball.
Rahman was chosen through a competitive international selection process based on her leadership potential, commitment to developing players, and efforts in promoting pickleball at the grassroots level in Assam. The cohort includes coaches from different countries working to advance women’s participation and leadership in sport.
As part of the programme, participants will engage in leadership training, mentorship, professional education, and peer collaboration, while also building a global network of women coaches.
Speaking on her selection, Rahman said it was both an honour and an opportunity to learn from inspiring women leaders across the world and bring those experiences back to India to help grow pickleball and encourage more women to take up leadership roles in sport.
