Khandu said that Himalayan Buddhism has for centuries been a defining force in the frontier regions of India, serving not only as a spiritual tradition but also as a civilizational anchor for communities living in the Himalayan belt.

He stressed that true security and resilience of a nation are not built solely through physical defences but through the strength of culture, community values, and collective conviction.

The conference brought together scholars, spiritual leaders, and participants to discuss the role of Himalayan Buddhism in shaping the spiritual and cultural legacy of India and its influence beyond the country.
