Saitual, April 8: Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary paid an official visit to Saitual District where he reviewed developmental activities and interacted with government officials and local leaders.

During the visit, the minister held a meeting with officials from various departments and representatives of local bodies, who highlighted key needs and challenges faced by the district. In his address, Choudhary assured full support from the Government of India and reiterated his commitment to facilitating the district’s development across different sectors.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Srinivas Sadi, who presented a detailed overview of departmental activities and achievements through a PowerPoint presentation.
As part of his inspection, the minister visited the water reservoir at Sihfa Village, which was constructed under the Jal Jeevan Mission. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinivas Sadi and Superintendent of Police Gaurav Tyagi. The delegation was received by Senior Executive Engineer (PHED) Lalpektluanga and Sub-Divisional Officer (PHED) Lalzuala.

Choudhary also visited the Saitual District Hospital, where he reviewed healthcare services and infrastructure. At the hospital, he was received by Deputy Chief Medical Officer Zothanpari Chhakchhuak.
The visit highlighted the central government’s continued focus on strengthening water supply infrastructure and improving public service delivery in Saitual district.
