According to officials, the contraband was concealed inside a specially fabricated cavity in the vehicle. Three suspected drug traffickers, all residents of Churachandpur district, were arrested in connection with the case.

The NCB stated that further investigation is underway to identify both backward and forward linkages in order to dismantle the larger cross-border drug trafficking network operating in the region.
Authorities have intensified anti-narcotics operations in Manipur due to its vulnerability to cross-border drug smuggling. The NCB has also urged citizens to report narcotics-related information through the MANAS Helpline (1933), assuring that informers’ identities will remain strictly confidential.
