Nagaland Dy CM Calls for Stronger Role of Women at 9th Lotha Eloe Hoho General Conference

Wokha, April 28, 2026: Nagaland Deputy CM Yanthungo Patton attended the 9th Lotha Eloe Hoho General Conference held at Town Hall in Wokha under the theme “Women of Vision, Shaping the Future.”

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Mhondamo Ovung, Wokha Deputy Commissioner Mhathung Tsanglao and Superintendent of Police Relo Aye, among others.

Addressing the gathering, Patton highlighted the crucial role of women in the development of society and stressed that progress depends on education, opportunity, unity and equal participation. He noted that women have long shouldered responsibilities in society and continue to make significant contributions in public life, enterprise, education and community service.

The Deputy Chief Minister also appreciated the strong unity and participation witnessed at the conference. Referring to Wokha as the “Land of Plenty,” he encouraged the community to strengthen agriculture and farming while promoting the dignity of labour.

He further urged the younger generation to value honest work and emphasized the importance of preserving the mother tongue by passing it on to future generations.

Patton concluded by extending his best wishes for the success of the conference and commended the Lotha Eloe Hoho for its continued service to the community.
