Manipur: Three Arrested Over Attempt to Burn Tyre Workshop in Daili Village

Kangpokpi, April 26: Manipur Police have arrested three persons in connection with an attempted arson at a tyre workshop in Daili village in Kangpokpi district.

According to police, the arrests were made following an investigation into an FIR registered at Kangpokpi Police Station regarding an attempt to burn a tyre workshop in the village earlier.

The accused have been identified as Mangminhao Lotjem, Satgoulal Sitlhou, and Seigunlal Lhanghal. Police said the three individuals were allegedly involved in the incident and were apprehended during the course of the investigation.

Earlier, the Daili Village Authority had strongly condemned the incident that took place on the night of April 24, around 10 pm. According to the village council, unidentified individuals arrived in a Mahindra Bolero and allegedly poured diesel on the walls of a house near the National Highway in what was described as a deliberate attempt to set the property on fire.

The village authority termed the act a serious attempt to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the village and urged authorities to take strict action against those responsible.

Manipur Police confirmed that the suspects have now been arrested and further investigation into the case is underway.
