Manipur CM Chairs Meeting with NDA MLAs to Review Development Works

Imphal, April 22:  Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Wednesday chaired a review meeting with National Democratic Alliance (NDA) legislators at the Manipur Secretariat to assess the progress of ongoing developmental projects and discuss measures to ensure their timely implementation across the state.

The meeting brought together NDA Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), senior government officials, and representatives of various departments to review the status of key infrastructure, welfare, and public service projects being implemented in different districts of Manipur. The discussions focused on evaluating the pace of execution, identifying bottlenecks, and exploring practical solutions to accelerate the completion of pending works.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of regular monitoring and close coordination among government departments, implementing agencies, and elected representatives. He said that collaborative efforts are essential to overcome administrative and logistical challenges that may delay the execution of development projects.

Khemchand urged all departments to maintain transparency, accountability, and efficiency while implementing government schemes. He also encouraged legislators to actively monitor projects in their respective constituencies and provide timely feedback so that issues affecting implementation can be resolved without delay.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government's primary objective is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every section of society. He noted that infrastructure development, improved public services, rural connectivity, healthcare, education, and welfare programmes remain key priorities of the government.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Viksit Manipur" and "Viksit Bharat @ 2047," Khemchand said the state government is committed to contributing to the nation's long-term development goals through the effective implementation of development initiatives. He emphasised that timely completion of projects is essential for promoting economic growth, generating employment opportunities, and improving the quality of life for citizens.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to strengthen coordination among all stakeholders and ensure that ongoing projects are completed within the stipulated timelines. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with sustained cooperation between legislators, government departments, and implementing agencies, Manipur would continue to make steady progress toward inclusive and sustainable development while delivering better governance and improved public services to its people.
