Kuhuboto, April 28, 2026: Federal Bank expanded its presence in Nagaland with the inauguration of its fourth branch in the state at Kuhuboto town under Niuland district on Monday. The new branch is expected to enhance access to modern banking services and contribute to the economic development of the region by providing financial services to residents, businesses, farmers, and entrepreneurs.

The branch was formally inaugurated by T. L. Kiusumong Tikhir, Deputy Commissioner of Niuland, in the presence of Titus P. A., Vice President and Regional Head of Federal Bank, along with public leaders, representatives of civil society organisations, village authorities, and residents of the subdivision.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner T. L. Kiusumong Tikhir congratulated the people of Kuhuboto and community leaders for successfully bringing the banking facility to the town. He described the opening of the branch as an important step toward improving financial inclusion and expanding economic opportunities in the area.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that the bank should serve not only as a financial institution but also as a gateway to opportunities for youth, women, farmers, and aspiring entrepreneurs. He emphasized that easier access to banking services can help promote savings, facilitate business activities, and support livelihood development across the district.
Tikhir also encouraged village authorities, civil society leaders, and members of the town council to work together in planning for the future growth of Kuhuboto. He expressed confidence that the town has the potential to develop into a vibrant commercial and administrative centre and emerge as a model town within Niuland district.
Speaking on the occasion, Titus P. A. expressed gratitude to the district administration, local leaders, and civil society organisations for their cooperation and support in establishing the branch. He said Federal Bank remains committed to providing efficient, customer-friendly, and technology-driven banking services to the people.

Several public leaders also addressed the gathering, including Nuhuta Tunyi, Khekiye Yepthomi, Tokato Sumi, Bohovi C. Yepthomi, and Mohanadas T.S., who welcomed the opening of the branch and expressed hope that it would contribute to the socio-economic development of the area.
The programme began with a welcome address by Mohit Gupta, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Atul Kumar Shukla. The inauguration concluded with interactions between bank officials and community members, marking the beginning of a new chapter in banking accessibility and financial development for Kuhuboto and surrounding areas.
