Itanagar, April 26: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi and sought continued support for strengthening critical infrastructure in the border state.
During the meeting, Khandu discussed several priority projects aimed at improving road connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh. Among the key proposals highlighted were the Akajan–Likabali–Bame road corridor and the construction of a bridge over the Taro Tamak River.
The chief minister emphasised the importance of enhancing connectivity in remote and border areas to support development and improve access for local communities.

Khandu expressed gratitude to the Defence Minister for the Centre’s continued support in strengthening border infrastructure and promoting the transformation of forward areas in Arunachal Pradesh.
He described the meeting as a privilege and reiterated the state government’s commitment to accelerating infrastructure development in strategic border regions.
