The BPO, a project under JSW Shakti and initiated by the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) in collaboration with the JSW Foundation, aims to create a professional, technology-driven workspace for young women to build careers and achieve financial independence.
Addressing the gathering, Rio said the initiative reflects a shared commitment to empowering women through dignified and sustainable employment. He noted that the state government has consistently promoted women’s entrepreneurship, livelihood opportunities, and digital inclusion through capacity-building programmes and skill development initiatives.
Deputy Chief Minister Yanthungo Patton, who accompanied the Chief Minister, termed the BPO a meaningful step toward expanding employment opportunities for women within the state. He appreciated the partnership between IDAN and JSW Shakti Foundation in opening new avenues for skill development and local employment.

Adviser to the Chief Minister and Chairman of IDAN, Abu Metha, described the facility as the first women-centric BPO in Dimapur and a transformative initiative that will strengthen the local economy and help curb talent migration. He thanked JSW Foundation Chairperson Sangita Jindal for extending the foundation’s social development initiatives to Nagaland and acknowledged the efforts of all stakeholders involved.
The collaboration focuses on three core pillars - skills, technology, and employment - seen as essential for building a future-ready workforce. The government assured full support for the project and expressed confidence that the initiative would inspire youth to seize meaningful opportunities within the state.
