Aizawl, February 9, 2026: Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Monday released a commemorative book to mark UNESCO World Art Day 2025, highlighting the state’s efforts to promote Mizo art, tradition and cultural identity on a global platform.

The book was released at the Chief Minister’s Office in Aizawl as part of the closing programme of World Art Day 2025 celebrations. The event formally concluded the initiatives launched during the main observance held in April last year at the I&PR Auditorium.
World Art Day 2025 in Mizoram was organised with the active participation of the Chief Minister, who also serves as the Chief Patron of the International Association of Art (IAA), Mizoram Chapter. The celebrations focused on showcasing Mizo traditions and culture through visual arts, emphasising creative expression as a means of global cultural outreach.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister underscored the importance of art as a powerful medium to preserve cultural heritage and project indigenous identities to the wider world. The commemorative book documents the activities, artworks and key moments of the World Art Day celebrations held in the state.

The release event was attended by Manaj Saha, President of IAA–India and UNESCO Official Partner; Mizoram State Coordinator Lalhming Mawii; Mizoram State Secretary Rosiamliana Ralte; State Advisor Lalchuailova; and other dignitaries.
Organisers said the commemorative publication stands as a lasting record of Mizoram’s contribution to UNESCO World Art Day and reflects the state’s continued commitment to nurturing art, creativity and cultural heritage.
