Imphal, February 19: Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Thursday interacted with internally displaced persons (IDPs) at the Alternate Housing Complex, National Games Village, Langol in Imphal West district, reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to restoring normalcy.

During the visit, financial assistance was directly transferred to the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism, ensuring transparency and timely support.
The Chief Minister personally listened to the concerns of displaced families and assured them of continued government support in relief and rehabilitation efforts. A virtual interaction was also conducted to connect with beneficiaries residing in other relief camps across the state, broadening the outreach of the programme.

Officials said the initiative reflects the government’s sustained focus on the welfare of displaced families and its efforts to strengthen rehabilitation measures while working towards long-term stability in Manipur.
