Manipur CM Inspects Dingku Road Project After Returning from Delhi

Imphal, February 25: Demonstrating his government's focus on infrastructure development, Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday proceeded directly from the airport to Dingku Road in Imphal West district to inspect the ongoing concrete pavement laying work immediately after returning from an official visit to New Delhi.

Accompanied by senior officials from the concerned departments, the Chief Minister conducted a detailed inspection of the project site and reviewed the progress of construction. He assessed the quality of work, examined the pace of execution, and interacted with officials to obtain updates on the status of the project and the expected timeline for its completion.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the executing agencies and concerned departments to expedite the work while ensuring that construction quality is not compromised. Stressing the importance of timely completion, he said the project should be executed according to prescribed engineering standards so that the public can benefit from durable and reliable road infrastructure.

The Chief Minister noted that the upgraded concrete road is expected to significantly improve connectivity in Imphal West by providing smoother and safer transportation for residents. Once completed, the project is expected to reduce traffic congestion, shorten travel time for daily commuters, and enhance the overall efficiency of the city's road network.

He reiterated that the development of quality infrastructure remains one of the top priorities of his government, describing road connectivity as a key driver of economic growth, public convenience, and urban development. Improved roads, he said, would facilitate easier movement of people and goods while contributing to the state's long-term progress.

The Chief Minister further emphasised that the State Government remains committed to accelerating infrastructure projects across Manipur, ensuring transparency, quality, and timely execution as part of its efforts to build a modern, well-connected, and developed state that supports inclusive growth and prosperity for all.
