Imphal, February 28: Manipur Chief Minister Shri Y. Khemchand Singh attended the closing session of the Morcha and District-level Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Mahabhiyan 2026 on Friday, reaffirming the importance of disciplined organisation, ideological commitment, and grassroots engagement in public service. The programme was presided over by BJP Manipur State President Smt. A. Sharda Devi.

The training programme, organised as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party's nationwide organisational capacity-building initiative, brought together party office-bearers, Morcha members, district-level functionaries, and grassroots karyakartas from across the state. The campaign aims to strengthen organisational effectiveness while equipping party workers with a deeper understanding of the party's ideology, governance principles, and public outreach strategies.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Khemchand Singh stressed that discipline, dedication, and ideological clarity are essential qualities for every party worker. He urged karyakartas to remain committed to the organisation's core values and to strengthen their engagement with people at the grassroots level by listening to public concerns and responding effectively to their aspirations.
The Chief Minister emphasised that elected representatives and party workers should work in close coordination to ensure that government welfare schemes and development initiatives reach every section of society. He also highlighted the importance of transparency, accountability, and people-centric governance in building public trust and promoting inclusive development across Manipur.

The programme was attended by BJP State Prabhari Dr. Ajit Gopchade, Minister Shri Konthoujam Govindas, Rajya Sabha MP Maharaja Sanajaoba Leishemba, MLA Shri Dinganglung Gangmei, several other MLAs, senior party leaders, and organisational office-bearers.
During the session, speakers emphasised the need for unity within the organisation and encouraged party workers to continue strengthening the BJP's presence across both urban and rural areas of the state through sustained public engagement and service-oriented activities.
The programme concluded with party members taking a renewed pledge to further strengthen the organisation, uphold its guiding principles, and continue serving the people of Manipur with dedication, unity, and a shared commitment to peace, development, and good governance.
