Arunachal CM Attends State Awards Ceremony, Inaugurates Exhibition Stall in Itanagar

Itanagar, February 20: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu attended the State Awards Ceremony held at the Durbar Hall of Lok Bhavan in Itanagar on Friday, where Governor Lt. Gen. K.T. Parnaik (Retd.) conferred State Gold and Silver Medals on distinguished individuals and organisations in recognition of their exceptional contributions to society and the state.

The ceremony formed part of the 40th Statehood Day celebrations and brought together senior government officials, award recipients, public servants, and dignitaries. The awards were presented to individuals and institutions that demonstrated outstanding service, exemplary dedication, courage, and commitment in their respective fields.

In addition to the State Gold and Silver Medals, the event also featured the presentation of the Chief Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration, which honours officers who have displayed exceptional professionalism, integrity, innovation, and dedication in public service. The award recognises efforts that have contributed significantly to improving governance, service delivery, and administrative efficiency in Arunachal Pradesh.

Congratulating the awardees, Chief Minister Khandu praised their achievements and acknowledged their contributions towards the progress and development of the state. He described the recipients as role models whose commitment and hard work continue to inspire others.

“The dedication, courage, and service demonstrated by the awardees are a matter of pride for Arunachal Pradesh. Their contributions have strengthened our institutions and enriched society,” Khandu said.

The Chief Minister also noted that recognising excellence encourages a culture of responsibility, innovation, and public service, which are essential for building a stronger and more prosperous state.

Earlier in the day, Khandu, accompanied by Governor Parnaik, inaugurated an exhibition stall organised as part of the Statehood Day celebrations. The exhibition showcased a wide range of innovations, local products, entrepreneurial initiatives, handicrafts, and developmental achievements from across Arunachal Pradesh.

The displays highlighted the creativity, talent, and enterprise of the people while reflecting the state’s progress in various sectors. Visitors had the opportunity to explore locally produced goods and learn about initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development and economic growth.

The State Awards Ceremony and exhibition collectively celebrated the achievements of individuals and institutions while showcasing Arunachal Pradesh’s journey of growth, innovation, and excellence as it marked its 40th year of statehood.
