Arunachal Assembly Adopts Motion of Thanks on Governor’s Address

Itanagar, February 5: The 5th Session of the 8th Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Thursday adopted the Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address, marking an important milestone in the proceedings of the House and reaffirming the state government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.

The adoption of the motion followed discussions on the Governor’s address, which outlined the government’s vision, priorities, and development agenda for Arunachal Pradesh. The address emphasized balanced growth, environmental conservation, youth empowerment, and strengthening livelihoods while preserving the state’s unique cultural and ecological heritage.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu said the Governor’s address presented a clear roadmap for the future of the state. He noted that the vision is guided by key priorities such as empowering young people, promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities, harnessing green energy, protecting the environment, and encouraging responsible tourism.

According to the Chief Minister, these focus areas reflect the government’s determination to pursue development that is both progressive and environmentally conscious. He stressed that economic growth and conservation must go hand in hand, particularly in a state blessed with rich biodiversity and natural resources.

Khandu also expressed gratitude to all members of the Legislative Assembly for maintaining a constructive and cooperative atmosphere during the session. He appreciated the active participation of legislators in deliberations and discussions concerning the state's development and governance priorities.

“The adoption of the Motion of Thanks reflects the collective commitment of this House to work towards the aspirations of the people and to build a stronger, more self-reliant Arunachal Pradesh,” the Chief Minister said.

The government reiterated its resolve to implement policies that promote inclusive growth while ensuring that development benefits reach all sections of society.
