Imphal: The Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) has extended the last date for submission of applications for the recruitment of 419 Assistant Professor posts under the Higher Education Department, Manipur.

According to a notification issued by the Commission on January 19, 2026, the decision was taken in view of representations received from various quarters seeking additional time for submission of applications. As per the revised schedule, the last date for submission of online applications has been extended up to 11:59 pm on January 23, 2026 (Friday).
The Commission has also extended the deadline for submission of hard copies of applications to 5:00 pm on January 29, 2026 (Thursday) on all working days.
The recruitment process is being carried out under Notification No. 7/5/2024-MPSC (DR) dated December 11, 2025. The Commission has clearly stated that no further request for extension of the deadline will be entertained under any circumstances.
The notification was issued by M. Tomba Singh, Registrar, Manipur Public Service Commission. Candidates have been advised to complete all application formalities within the stipulated extended timelines to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
