New Delhi, Jan.19: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday laid the foundation stone for the Extension Project of Tripura Bhavan at Bir Tikendrajit Marg, marking a significant step towards strengthening infrastructure support for people from Tripura in the national capital.

Under the project, six new rooms and two hall rooms will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹2.95 crore. The expansion is aimed at enhancing accommodation and support facilities for visitors from Tripura who travel to New Delhi for medical treatment, education, cultural activities, and business development.
Highlighting the importance of the project, the Chief Minister said the extension would improve the overall functionality of Tripura Bhavan and ensure greater comfort and accessibility for citizens. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to building modern and efficient infrastructure in line with the vision of Viksit Tripura.
The project is expected to provide a major boost to welfare-oriented infrastructure outside the state, reinforcing Tripura’s presence in the national capital while better serving the needs of its people.
